EKG is NOT routinely required for a DOT physical. If medically indicated (e.g. history of cardiac events or specific arrhythmias), we will discuss all options with you before any additional charges are incurred. No surprises.
Know Before You Book
Is a drug test included in the physical?
No. The standard DOT physical includes a medical urinalysis to check for blood, protein, and sugar (kidney health). Toxicology drug testing is a separate $55 add-on.
How long does the appointment take?
Between 30 to 45 minutes. Our clinic uses workflow automation and pre-arrival digital intake forms to keep wait times to a absolute minimum.
What should I bring to the exam?
You must bring your valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL), glasses or contacts if worn, your CPAP compliance logs if diagnosed with sleep apnea, and a complete list of current medications with dosages.
Can my employer pay for my physical?
Yes. We set up priority employer accounts and fleet billing, allowing drivers to walk in and get certified without paying out-of-pocket. Instruct your coordinator to link with us.
Can I pay using my HSA/FSA card?
Typically yes. DOT physical exams and medical screenings are eligible expenses under most Health Savings Account and Flexible Spending Account plans.
